International Blues Challenge Update

The Lizzard Kings are pleased and honored to have represented Memphis and the Memphis Blues Society in the 2019 International Blues Challenge.

​

After three days of fun and fierce competition, we were not selected to advance to the finals on Saturday.

​

We have met so many wonderful people, and heard so much phenomenal music over these three days, and we are privileged to have had the opportunity to perform our Original Deep-Fried Memphis Music to Blues lovers from all over the world.

​

We wish all of the remaining artists the best of luck in the finals.

 

An extra special good luck shout out goes to the Gabe Stillman Band. We enjoyed hanging out and performing with you guys at the Rum Boogie Cafe in the semi-finals.

​

We would like to thank the Memphis Blues Society, Radio Memphis, and The Blues Foundation for all of their guidance and support in our run up to the IBC, and throughout the IBC as well. We will always cherish this opportunity and all of the experiences and exposure that it brought with it.

International Blues Challenge - Friday Schedule

The Lizzard Kings will be competing in the semifinals of the 2019 International Blues Challenge tonight on historic Beale Street!

​

Our performance will take place at the Rum Boogie Cafe at 7:40 PM, and we will play a 30 minute set.

​

We wish all of the fantastic artists the best of luck in the semi-finals tonight, and we look forward to seeing who will advance to the finals tomorrow. 

​

International Blues Challenge Update

The Lizzard Kings are excited to announce that we have made it to the semifinals of the 2019 International Blues Challenge!

​

After two intense days, with all types of smoking hot Blues music being played by a diverse and talented field of wonderful artists, we are honored that we will represent our hometown, and our Memphis Blues Society, in the next round of the IBC.

​

The festivities will continue Friday, 01.25.2019, at the clubs on historic Beale Street, with the finals taking place at the legendary Orpheum Theater on Saturday, 01.26.2019.

​

The Lizzard Kings are pleased to be representing Memphis and the Memphis Blues Society at the 35th Annual International Blues Challenge, taking place in our hometown, the Home of the Blues, Memphis, Tennessee.​

​

This event takes place Wednesday - Friday, 01.23 - 01.25.2019, in the clubs on historic Beale Street, with the finals taking place at the legendary Orpheum Theater on Saturday, 01.26.2019.

​
